In a wire strainer, add 1 cup long grain rice and place in a medium bowl. Add enough water to cover the rice. Soak for 20 minutes.
Lift strainer out of water, and rinse under running water.
In an Instant Pot stainless bowl, place rinsed rice. Add 1 cup water and shake the pot back and forth to ensure rice is covered with water.
Place lid on the Instant Pot, and lock.
Set to high pressure for 3 minutes. Press start.
Once cook time is done allow to rest, or natural release, for 10 minutes.
At this point, press cancel button. Keep the lid on until ready to serve. If there is still pressure, you will need to release the steam before unlocking the lid.
