Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • In a wire strainer, add 1 cup long grain rice and place in a medium bowl. Add enough water to cover the rice. Soak for 20 minutes.
  • Lift strainer out of water, and rinse under running water.
  • In an Instant Pot stainless bowl, place rinsed rice. Add 1 cup water and shake the pot back and forth to ensure rice is covered with water.
  • Place lid on the Instant Pot, and lock.
  • Set to high pressure for 3 minutes. Press start.
  • Once cook time is done allow to rest, or natural release, for 10 minutes.
  • At this point, press cancel button. Keep the lid on until ready to serve. If there is still pressure, you will need to release the steam before unlocking the lid.
