Chocolate Peanut Butter Icing
DELICIOUS! This icing is fudgy, has a delicate peanut butter flavor and is not overly sweet. It’s delicious with so many flavors!

EASY! Some icing can be stiff and difficult to pipe or spread. But this frosting is light and creamy, perfect for a quick yet decorative way to top all your baking!
What Do I Need To Make It?
- Hand or stand mixer, medium mixing bowl, measuring spoons and cups, and a rubber scraper.
- Creamy peanut butter – the star of the show!
- Butter, unsalted and at room temperature.
- Powdered sugar (or icing sugar or confectioners sugar – depending on where you live and what it’s called)
- Cocoa
- Chocolate Chips, melted and cooled
- Vanilla
- A bit of milk or cream, whichever you prefer!
How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting!
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave. Cool.
- Blend peanut butter, butter and cocoa together until super smooth.
- Add vanilla and melted chocolate. Mix together.
- Slowly add powdered sugar to the mixture. Add milk (and more if needed)
- Turn mixer to high and whip till light fluffy and gorgeous!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting
Equipment
- hand mixer
Ingredients
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup butter unsalted
- ¼ cup cocoa
- ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ Tablespoon milk or cream, more if needed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in microwave at 20 second intervals, stirring in until just melted. Cool.
- Using a hand blender, cream butter, peanut butter and cocoa together. Add cooled and melted chocolate and mix.
- Add powdered sugar ⅓ cup at a time, until desired consistency. Add milk (and use a bit more if needed).
