Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour + extra for pressing out on a board
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter cold
  • 1 cup peaches frozen
  • 1 cup soured milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Assemble all ingredients.
  • Combine the dry ingredients and mix.
  • Cut cold butter into dry ingredients and blend with a pastry blender, or use your fingers, until it is fully combined and a crumbly consistency.
  • Add peaches and mix to flour peaches completely.
  • Beat egg with sour milk and pour over flour mixture.
  • Mix to just combine. 
  • Turn out onto floured surface and with floured hands, pat down. Cut into 4 sections and mould these into circles.
  • Cut each circle into 4 and place on baking sheet. Be sure to keep flouring hands during the process.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly brown.
