2ouncesunsweeted chocolate
2teaspoonsvegetable oil
black food coloringoptional
Instructions
Wash, pat dry and lay strawberries out for about 15 minutes or until dry.
Prepare a baking tray or platter with parchment paper.
Combine chocolate and oil in a heat safe bowl. Heat in the microwave on medium power for 30 second intervals until just melted. (Or you can melt the chocolate using the stove or oven methods listed above)
Add food coloring (if using) and stir well.
Holding each strawberry by it's stem, dip into the melted chocolate to your desired depth.
Place each dipped strawberry on the parchment paper and continue until all strawberries are covered.
If the chocolate becomes too thick, return to your melting method until desired consistency is reached, and continue to dip the berries.
Place dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until chocolate is hardened. Store in a cool, not cold location until ready to serve.
