Smart, Simple, and Savvy Tips

  • Include a mix of creamy, sharp, and smoky cheeses, along with salty meats, sweet fruits, crunchy nuts, and crispy crackers for tasty flavors and textures in every bite.
  • Arrange cheese into different shapes and sizes. Slice some into cubes or wedges while leaving others whole. Use a small knife to spread soft cheeses, like cream cheese or Boursin, while firmer cheeses are great for easy grabbing.
  • Offer a mix of crackers, pretzel sticks, and rice crisps for different textures. Add red pepper jelly next to the cream cheese and balsamic glaze by the tomato basil skewers for the perfect dipping experience.
  • Fill in any empty spaces with nuts and fresh herbs such as parsley or rosemary for a pop of color.
  • Make ahead and cover with plastic wrap, then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Drinks To Serve With Charcuterie

  • A crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a fruity Pinot Noir would complement both the creamy and smoky elements.
  • Try a simple honey whiskey sour, or a refreshing cosmopolitan with a sprig of rosemary.
  • For a non alcoholic option, mix sparkling water with a splash of orange or cranberry juice, or apple cider would be delicious.
