Recipe Ingredients
- THE CREAMY BASE – Sour cream and mayonnaise make up the super creamy base for this recipe. Definitely use greek yogurt in place of the sour cream if desired.
- HERBS – Fresh herbs are always best, but dried will work if that is all that is on hand. Just remember to use a 1:3 ratio of dried to fresh herbs.
- SPICES – A delicious blend of minced onion, bon appetite, and lemon pepper bring so much flavor to this dip for vegetables recipe. Onion powder and garlic powder can be added too.
Fresh Herbs vs Dried
Whenever possible, use fresh herbs in dips for best flavor! But if fresh is not available, dried will also work!
REMEMBER: 1 Tablespoon dried herbs = 3 Tablespoons fresh!
How To Make Easy Vegetable Dip!
- If using fresh herbs, wash them and dry with a paper towel. Chop.
- Assemble all ingredients and add to a medium sized bowl. Mix well.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to blend and minced onion to hydrate.
- Transfer to serving bowl or container and enjoy!
Storing Vegetable Dip
This dip for vegetables recipe is super easy to store! Simply cover with plastic wrap, or in a covered container, and refrigerate. It will last for at least a week stored this way. If adding any fresh garlic, the dip should be used up within 2-3 days. Otherwise throw it out! Fresh garlic, in combination with other ingredients, could produce botulism. So for my dips, I like to use garlic powder.
