Delish Frosting Recipe!
- Peanut butter makes a smooth and creamy base for the powdered sugar to be added. Quick and easy to blend, this frosting can be ready in only about 10 minutes!
- Just 4 ingredients which are easy to find and are likely already on hand in the pantry.
- Peanut butter is delicious paired with chocolate, but can be used along with any flavor. Try it on your fave cake, cupcake or brownie recipe.
4 Simple Ingredients!
PEANUT BUTTER – the main ingredient for this recipe! It’s already at room temperature, is smooth and creamy, so it’s makes the perfect base in which to add the icing sugar. Any brand will do, and crunchy is an option too. If using crunchy peanut butter, don’t try to pipe it using a tip. Spread it or pipe using a bag with the end cut off at least ½ inch.
BUTTER – use an unsalted butter that is at room temperature for best results. Margarine will work if desired as well. Using butter flavored Crisco would work in place of butter if heat is an issue.
POWDERED SUGAR – also known as icing sugar, gives the frosting it’s sweetness and form!
VANILLA – use any flavoring and it can be omitted if none is available.
How To Make Peanut Butter Frosting
- Use a hand mixer and cream together room temperature peanut butter, butter and vanilla.
- Slowly add powdered sugar and whip until fluffy.
- Pipe or spread onto cupcakes, cakes, brownies or even cookies!
How Much Should I Make?
This recipe will cover 12 cupcakes, a 8×8″ cake or fill the middle of a layer cake with some to spare. Double the recipe if more is needed.
